What it is
Mafia block is a jobsite nickname for the standard large concrete block, and the joke that goes with it writes itself at that weight. Nobody puts it on a purchase order. Ask for a mafia block and a bin block arrives, because they are the same object.
The other nickname, lego block, is about the top of the block. Most forms cast a lug on the top face and a matching recess underneath, so a second course drops into the first and stays put. Stack two courses and you have a wall that a loader can push material against.
The interlock is a locating detail, not a structural connection. Blocks stay where they are because they weigh 3,600 lb each, not because they clip together.

You unload with a forklift or telehandler rated for the weight, or you add placement to the quote and we bring the machine. The driver does not unload.

- How many blocks fit on a truck?
- 13 full blocks, or 26 half blocks, which is about 46,800 lb on a 48 ft to 53 ft flatbed. Mixed loads are packed by weight, not by count.
- Bin block, mafia block, ecology block: what is the difference?
- Nothing. They are the same 6 x 2 x 2 interlocking concrete block under different regional names. Use the name your supplier uses and check the dimensions, not the label.
