The sloped-face concrete barrier used to separate traffic, close a lane, or hold a line that has to survive being hit by something heavy and slow. Sold new, delivered by flatbed.
K-rail is what the same barrier is usually called in California and much of the west. The shape and the job are the same as a jersey barrier, so if you asked for K-rail and a jersey barrier arrived, nobody made a mistake.
Pick a barrier when
Traffic is moving past the line, the run has to be set and reset by a crew with a boom truck, or the job specification calls for a barrier by name.
Pick a block when
The line is static, the job also needs mass for bins, ballast or a wall, or you want the product to stay useful on the next job instead of going back on a truck.
